Is this donation tax deductible?
Yes, GiveWise Foundation Canada is a registered Canadian charity #70103 2526 RR0001. After your donation, you will immediately have access to a PDF tax receipt for your donation. If you do not already have a GiveWise Giving Fund, you’ll be prompted to create a free account to access your tax receipt and manage your future donations.
How do I receive a tax receipt?
If you have donated through our GiveWise Giving Platform, your official tax receipts are available anytime through your personal GiveWise account. These are self-serve — designed to give you secure, 24/7 access whenever you need them.
If you do not already have a GiveWise Giving Fund, you’ll be prompted to create a free account to access your tax receipt and manage your future donations.
Here’s how to access your receipts:
- Visit: givewise.ca
- Click “Log In” (top right corner)
- Once logged in, go to “My Account” → “Receipts”
- You can download or print any of your official donation receipts from there.

Click “Forgot Password” on the login page to reset your credentials.

Is my donation and personal information secure?
GiveWise processes your donation on behalf of the HCOS & Flex Academy “Learning Without Limits Capital Campaign.” For protection, GiveWise encrypts personal, bank and credit card information during all transactions. When making an online donation, your credit card information is not stored, and we will not share your personal identity outside of our organization.
How can I confirm that my monthly donation to the Learning Without Limits Capital Campaign is active?
After setting up your recurring gift through GiveWise, you can confirm or manage your monthly donation by logging into your GiveWise Giving Fund account.
- Go to your Activity tab.
- Select the Recurring table.
Here, you’ll see a list of your active monthly donations, including the amount, recipient, and next scheduled donation date. You can also edit or cancel your recurring donation directly from this page.
If you don’t see a gift listed there or are unsure if your donation was set up correctly, feel free to reach out to the GiveWise support team at support@givewise.com for assistance.
What fees are associated with my donation?
Fees depend on the donation method you choose. Many options — including e-transfer, bank transfer, and cheque — are fee-free. Other methods, such as credit card, gifts of securities, and cryptocurrency, may include processing fees.
When you donate using a credit card, a fee of 2.2% plus $0.30 per transaction is charged by the payment processor. This fee goes directly to the credit card companies and not to GiveWise. The remaining amount is then forwarded by GiveWise directly to the Learning Without Limits Campaign fund.
You may also see a GiveWise Courtesy Fee—this is completely optional. It helps GiveWise cover platform costs and improve their services, but you can choose to remove it at checkout.
GiveWise does not charge any administrative fees to the campaign. Your full donation—minus applicable processing fees based on your donation method—goes directly to support the campaign.

What other ways can I donate?
GiveWise accepts cheques, e-transfer, bank transfers, gifts of securities, Donor-Advised Fund (DAF) transfers, and other complex assets.
To use any of these methods, please select from the available options using our campaign donation button.

How will my gift be used?
Your donation will be credited to the “Learning Without Limits Capital Campaign” Giving Fund.
Will my personal information be shared?
Unless you request to remain anonymous, your name and contact information will be shared with the campaign leadership team for stewardship.
What Happens If the Learning Without Limits Capital Campaign Ends?
As part of the GiveWise Foundation’s Gift Policy, we confirm that if the campaign is terminated, any donated funds of $1,000 or more will be reimbursed to the donor’s Giving Fund, where they can be redirected to any registered Canadian charity of their choice.
